We were inspired by the title of Alrosa’s exhibition: «The Path of the Diamond.» We were particularly struck by the beginning of this journey — the birthplace of the diamond. It seemed to us that this would be a beautiful metaphor for a store where customers choose diamonds, as this is where their story begins.
The kimberlite pipes, where diamonds are found, as well as the techniques used in excavation and mining, look impressive and authentic. We aimed to bring this feeling into our store to create a unique experience for customers.
Seven layers of different types of marble symbolize the cross-section of the earth. The gradient rises from light lower layers to dark green ones, approaching soil and grass. In one of the layers, visitors find diamonds — this is their place of origin. This layer stands out with a contrasting sky-blue color that breaks away from the overall palette.
The uneven geometry of the hall enhances the impression of being inside a geological body. The other spaces of the boutique are made of stainless steel, with pronounced details in the furniture symbolizing the techniques used in diamond mining: various escalators, drilling machines, tunneling machines, and so on
