The interior of the Ateliermaru boutique is conceived as a contemporary atelier — a space where futuristic minimalism and Russian craft traditions merge into a single architectural composition. The interior is treated as a workshop, where the woman is the main character and her surroundings serve as a subtle, unobtrusive backdrop. Lightboxes were added to visually lighten the space. The key metaphor of the project is weaving: the entire space is «stitched» with aluminum angles, and throughout the boutique there are hidden references to the production process — a needle’s eye, a button, a thread knot.

Three key zones are aligned along a single axis from the entrance. The first room is the softest, with a glossy dome, housing all the products, with the centerpiece being a modular sofa upholstered in handwoven fabric created by a craftswoman from Vologda — six meters of fabric, two months of daily work. The second room, the fitting area, features stricter proportions, dominated by three sculptural busts of Russian women in traditional headdresses, custom-made for the boutique. Placed opposite a mirror, they bridge the historical image of Russian womanhood with the present. The third space is a guest restroom, designed as a standalone cube and a selfie zone with an infinity effect created by two facing mirrors.

All materials are natural and deliberately muted, ensuring the interior never overshadows the woman. The space is filled with handmade objects from artisans based in Vologda, Pskov, Nizhny Novgorod, Podolsk, and Moscow: five handcrafted vases, a mirror frame carved in old Russian traditions, partitions clad in wooden shingles reminiscent of the Kizhi churches, and two stitched textile paintings by a Russian artist. Almost everything — from door handles to the sofa and display fixtures — has been custom-made.
