Recycling materials to reduce environmental damage may well be a principle of object design, meaning the production of objects based on previously manufactured materials that are not used for their intended purpose. This method served as an inspiration for the production of the floor lamp. Leftover epoxy blocks and aluminium sheets from earlier projects were given new life in combination with a multicoloured LED strip.
The lamp is scratched and scarred, which is typical for recycled materials, indicating its unique history. Colored light is refracted in bright pink epoxy blocks, creating gradients or iridescent pearlescent glow.
