The interior of the attic floor in a wine restaurant (Wine Market) in a mansion on Kalanchevskaya Street. A small room designed for tastings, chamber concerts and master classes. The interior is based on a single laconic principle: the colour and texture of walls and ceiling refer to a terracotta wine vessel, wood and laminate boards are chosen to emphasise this resemblance.
There are no spot light fixtures in the room, the only light sources are overhead windows and strip lights, which makes the room, located under the roof of the building, look like a wine cellar. The project provides several modes of lighting, which dramatically change the atmosphere in this minimalist interior: dimmed diffused light is suitable for chamber dinners, bright and accentuated will draw attention to the performing musicians or sommeliers.
Deep compartments for hidden storage with sliding doors are built into the recesses in the walls of the attic, the unused furniture can be stored there as well. Behind the bar there are open shelves for wine bottles and a collection of glassware.
